The Children's Blizzard
This picture uses photoshop to dramatically display a child who is stuck in a blizzard. The perception of blizzards is revealed as something extremely scary to humans.

Eruption of Mt. St. Helens, 1980
In this picture, a girl is staring at the eruption of Mount St. Helen's with a stature that is almost Goddess like. The volcano and ash cloud is very daunting so it's interesting that the girl would be posed in the picture like that.

Joplin Tornado, 2011
This picture greatly exaggerates the effects of a tornado. The details such as the water tower being thrown in the air show the destruction that these natural disasters truly cause.

Great Chicago Fire, 1871
The different colors within the fire show the severity of the Great Chicago Fire. The bright red immediately draws attention to the picture and makes it look extremely dangerous.

The Destruction of Pompeii, 79 A.D.
The sky in this picture give off the impression of something hell-like. This translates to the helplessness of the people in the streets of this picture.

This pictures focus is on the boy and his face that shows he doesn't know what to do or where to go. It also suggests that earthquakes can cause more issues such as fires and ash clouds.

Hurricane Katrina
This picture is scary in that the effects of the hurricane are through out the entirety of the picture. It shows that hurricanes bring more than just strong winds, but flooding and storming as well.

Once again, this picture is photoshopped as opposed to something drawn. The tsunami in this picture is swallowing the entire page which is representative of what they do in real life.
